The whole process takes time. There are millions of mistakes
in need of correction. Each one has to be marked down,
written off, worked out, and forgotten. We still have to see
the show trials. And the perp walks. And the kvetching.the
complaining.the whining.the wimpering. The bailouts and the
payoffs. The bottles of whiskey and the loaded revolvers.
It's all still ahead!
Dow 5,000.
10% - 15% unemployment.
Another 20% off house prices.
There's a lot of ruin left to go.

They'll be lucky if it's that.

The admitted figure would probably get there. We're already, if you
include all the adult unemployed, at about 15%. Add another 8-10%, at
least, if the carmakers go down.

50%...
All social order will be lost -- real soon.

Are you hoping?

The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so
certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts.

My sister is a high school teacher. She actually had
a student, on hearing this line, ruefully and with all
seriousness agree that he didn't pay attention in
History class so he had to take it over again.

Now THAT is worth repeating.
Canadians have done several studies which clearly indicate that
americans
IQ's fall in a manner proportionate to their obesity. . . . canadians
and aussies
do not seem to suffer the same fate.
The "dumbing down" of the american populace is essential to their
enslave-
ment. O'bmama must immediately place a 85% surtax on all fast food
sources and declare a war on obesity.
CNN had some video clips they use showing obese armed forces members
in Iraq "Chowing Down" like hogs at the trough. THIS IS WHY AMERICA
LOST IN IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN AND MUST now retreat in same manner
it left Viet Nam.
