Subject: Does This Sound Familiar To Warmist Zealots??

People who believe the world will end in four years sound faintly
similar to your usual warmy folks:

Two years ago, Patrick Geryl, then 51, quit his job as a laboratory
worker for a French oil company. He'd saved up just enough money to last
him until December 2012. After that, he thought, he wouldn't need it
anyway.

Instead, Geryl, a soft-spoken man who had studied chemistry in his
younger years ...

Scientist alert!

... started preparing for the apocalypse. He founded a "survival group"
for likeminded men and women, aimed at living through the catastrophe he
knew was coming ...

"You have to understand, there will be nothing, nothing left," Geryl
told ABC News from his home in Antwerp, Belgium. "We will have to start
an entire civilization from scratch."

That's because Geryl believes the world as we know it will end in 2012.

Read on; apparently 2012 apocalypsism is the latest big thing. But what
if 2012 passes without global ending, Geryl?

"I don't really contemplate that possibility," he said. "[My
predictions] are so spectacular, they can't possibly be wrong."

Interestingly, included among related links to this story is a piece
titled "ABC News Reporting Cited As Evidence In Congressional Hearing On
Global Warming".

"Every year they recalibrate their computer model and put in the
observed temperature. So, as they go along, the curve that trails behind
is perfect. It's like predicting the morning's weather at six-o'clock in
the evening.." Dr. Don J. Easterbrook, Professor Emeritus Geology,
Western Washington University
