END OF Q3 = TUES SEPT 30
the usual strategy of the market managers is to sell off their speculative
names and buy allot of blue chip marquee name stocks so that their end of
quarter report gets an approving nod from their high net worth investors
who will scan the report.
then what?
typically after the quarterly reports are sent out, you see the selloff of
the window dressing of marquee names and the buyback of the speculatives.
This time the marquee names are the pariahs
Citi, freddy, sally, wamu and the appropriate strategy is to sell them off
so they don't appear on the Q3 report
they'll got bought right back in October
but I don't think those names will be the huge core holdings of the funds
going forward
look to the mid caps and the small caps to rally.

I think we would be very lucky to see anything rally very much over
the next 12 months. I'm expecting Obama to win and typically a
Democrat win will not help the market much until the later part of the
next year. Hopefully this time might be different as the market is
probably so fed up with the shrub squad, it might rally on a Dem win.
But I'm not going to count on it.

Good logic.. Small caps like CREE for instance should do well. ID, is
back on my radar. I think companies w/large caps like AAPL, MSFT, GOOG,
will see 'some' of this money moving out of the financial sector. With
their big 'cash' in the bank they are going to do ok if the economy gets
leaner..
