Same old chestnut. Most adults who ride bicycles on the road also have
a car.motorcycle licence. The cost of bicycle registration (based on
weight) would not be economical to collect.
Road as are NOT paid for by registration or petrol excise they are
largely subsidised by all taxpayers.
Personally I have never been held up by a cyclist for more than a few
seconds and anybody who stresses over those few seconds delay really
needs to get a grip on reality (perhaps while they wait at the next
set of traffic lights?)
