Subject: How to Spot A Market Bottom. . . .
From: "B...@g...com" <B...@g...com> Search message by this author

I am an 'expert' on bottoms, lol, i own several.

Market drags lower for weeks & months and finally ends up
with a big down day, for this market would have to be 5-600
points. You mention stox to a buddy and he punches you.
GOLD WILL BE DOWN THAT SAME DAY BY $100-200
Oil will fall $10 at the same time.

Every analyst will look shell shocked and suggest you buy
puts for retirement, there will not be the onslaught of idiots
calling a bottom we see now.

You call your borker (i know its all puter now) and make
your order and he answers with a "Are you fucking nutz".

And you will throw up twice before hitting the buy button.

TILL THEN THIS IS A BEAR RALLY, NOT A BOTTOM SO
DON'T LISTEN TO THE TOUTS!!!!
BTW, CRAMER WILL GET FIRED THE WEEK BEFORE
DUE TO BAD RATINGS.

When we get close to a bottom (and no, not even close
yet!!!!!) i will try to convey that.
Till then, STFU and short rallies & IPO's.

I'm thinking that first digit of the four-digit DOW should be more of
a 4 or a 5.

I would think that we were at the bottom when the interest rates start
rising again.

And it begins:

Gold prices continue to slip after overnight tumble
====================================
March 19, 2008
HONG KONG (MarketWatch) -- Gold prices continued to slide in
electronic trading Thursday, after suffering their worst one-day drop
in nearly two years in a regular session overnight, on the dollar's
strength and weakened crude oil and base metal prices.

LONDON (MarketWatch) -- Crude oil futures briefly dropped under $100 a
barrel for the first time in three weeks as the flight out of

The fundies for crude (CL) are a little different than the fundies for gold
(GC). Believe it or not, supply and demand are a significant component of the
CL price. A full blown recession (third one for the Bush family) and falling
demand for gasoline explains this move.

For GC there is only one fundie and that is the USD. Do you think the Fed's
injecting "liquidity" (a euphemism for overtime authorization at the Bureau of
Engraving and Printing) will strengthen the USD?

To best explain the downfall of GC, Art Cashin put it this way. The hedge funds
needed to raise cash and in their situation, "...you can't sell what you want.
You sell what you have."

And people wonder why I call this idiot an idiot.

For those with an IQ above 50, read the above self-contradictory
nonsense again, and savor its self-contradictorious nonsensicality...

In other news, the "loonie" continues to collapse after this
whack-o last moronically posted about it:

20080228 1 CAD = 1.0216 USD
20080320 1 CAD = 0.9746 USD

Don't worry though, even though it's falling at the rate of about 5%
a month, it WON'T lose over 250% by this time next year, I can assure
you of at least that much...
